The Organizing Committee affirms its commitment to academic freedom, critical inquiry, and the open exchange of ideas within a respectful and inclusive scholarly environment.
At a time marked by ongoing armed conflicts and humanitarian crises in different parts of the world, the Committee unequivocally condemns all forms of violence against civilians, violations of human rights, and the destruction of human lives, communities, cultural heritage, and academic institutions.
The Committee is also mindful of the growing pressures for academic and cultural isolation in contexts of conflict. While recognizing the ethical concerns that often underpin such calls, we believe that academic spaces should remain places for dialogue, critical reflection, and the peaceful exchange of diverse perspectives. Silencing or excluding scholars solely on the basis of institutional or geographic affiliation may ultimately prove counterproductive, particularly when many researchers working in or from regions affected by conflict actively engage in critical, dissident, and self-reflexive scholarship. The inclusion of participants affiliated with particular institutions or countries should not be understood as an endorsement of the policies, actions, or positions of those institutions or governments.
Conference submissions were evaluated according to scholarly, thematic, and ethical criteria, taking into consideration their academic relevance, methodological rigor, and contribution to critical and constructive debate within the scope of the conference.
In this spirit, the conference remains committed to fostering international academic dialogue while upholding the principles of human dignity, intellectual openness, mutual respect, and the universal defense of human rights.
